Fall 2001 Bulletin
Amigos Braovs will welcome you to the event with a blessing ceremony by Danza Azteca de Anahuac followed by a bountiful champagne brunch. Soloist Lenore Armijo will perform Mexican ballads. Director Brian Shields will give his “State of the River” Address. Board Members will then present the coveted Amigos Bravos Service Awards. Winner of the Environmental Service Award is Wilfred Gonzales of Las Vegas, NM. The River Protector Award will be Doors open at 10:00 am. El Pinto’s famous East Patio is located at 10500 Fourth Street Northwest in Albuquerque. (Take the Tramway Exit west to Fourth Street, then south on Fourth. El Pinto’s is immediately on the left.) Casual, comfortable attire is the only requirement! Congratulations to the awards recipients and to all who were nominated. We all look forward to seeing you there! River Awards Ceremony Celebrates Exemplary Individuals
The First Annual Amigos Bravos River Awards Ceremony will be held on Sunday, September 9 during a Champagne Brunch at El Pinto Restaurant in Albuquerque. This is the event you have been waiting for, perfect for inviting your organization, bringing the family, or meeting up with a friend to celebrate the successes you have supported over the years!
presented to Peter White of Santa Fe; Volunteers of the Year Awards will be presented to David Douglas and Karen Douglas of Albuquerque and Questa, and Hope Buechler of Taos.
