Spring 2001 Bulletin
River Awards Celebration Coming in September
Nomination forms, process and deadline information will be made available in early May 2001. We will be soliciting nominations for the Volunteer opportunities for members! As a service to your close community and to help our own logistics, we are offering an opportunity for individual, organizational and business members to congregate at a table of your friends, family, neighbors and colleagues. Amigos Bravos will in turn reserve your table for the River Awards Celebration. An Amigos Ambassador packet for anyone who can help in this way (including award nomination criteria, a table reservation form, and ten tickets) can be requested by calling either the Albuquerque or Taos numbers below. A Silent Auction will be a part of the awards celebration and Amigos Bravos is in search of an Albuquerque Chairperson and committee members from the Taos, Santa Fe, and Albuquerque areas. This effort requires a time commitment between May and September from members who are willing to participate in planning discussions; to solicit and pick-up donations in your area; assist during the silent auction; finalize auction bidding the evening of the event, do post event follow up and have fun. Auction Donations: Amigos Bravos is a 501 c-3 organization and donations are tax exempt.We are solicitating items valued from $35-upward for the Silent Auction. Three to four select items are also being sought for a high powered “live auction.” Contact Cynthia in Albuquerque or BetsyWolf in Taos to schedule a pick up or drop-off of your gift. In early September Amigos Bravos will hold its First Annual Environmental Service Awards Celebration in recognition of people working to protect New Mexico’s rivers. Though we are just approaching April 2001, there are many preparations necessary to coordinate a successful celebration. Amigos Braovs welcomes your participation in the following ways!
