Fifth Annual Paint-a-Thon and Art Auction for the Río Grande

Dust off your paint brushes! Amigos Bravos is making preparations for our fifth Annual Paint-A-Thon and Art Auction on the Río Grande. Each year, generous artists donate their unique talents to the work of making the Río Grande swimmable, fishable and drinkable once more. This event benefits our Wild Rivers by raising funds and awareness about the river and by bringing artists and art lovers down to the banks of the Río Grande for a community event that is creative and fun.

On Saturday, June 15th artists are invited to paint anywhere between the Orilla Verde Campsite and the Taos Junction Bridge, north of Pilar, on Hwy. 570. Paintings will then be brought to the Bareiss Gallery at 15 Route 150, where they will be auctioned off later in the evening. Artists interested in participating are encouraged to call the Amigos Bravos office for more information.

We will have both a live and a silent auction again this year. The silent auction and cocktail party will commence at 5:00pm, followed by the live auction from 6-8:30pm. Everyone is welcome to come and join in the festivities. There will be appetizers, beer and cocktails provided by local businesses. There will even be magaritas made by Amigos Bravos members Karen and David Douglas and lots of beautiful art to see and purchase. All proceeds go to benefit Amigos Bravos and the work for the Río Grande.
